The Bruce-Gilfillan (Fr. 310) variety of the 1880 $20 Silver Certificate is the rarest of the large brown seal two-signature notes and just a few less of the Fr. 312 are known. This note is definitely condition census for the Fr. 310 as the highest grade slabbed and sold is a "50". The PMG and PCGS most current POP Report shows the following: only a "55" is better. This note has a lovely overall appearance and it may well be as nice as you are likely to get, as only one of the 41 notes reported threatens to be uncirculated. For some reason this entire Black-Back $20 series doesn't come UNC and I have been preaching it for years. Graded Abt. UNC 53 by PMG.
