Somersworth, First NB, N1180
Fr. 590 $5 1902DB
Grade:
VF
Located in Strafford County, Somersworth was one of many mill towns to spring up along the Connecticut River. Originally named Great Falls, the town was renamed Somersworth in 1902, so the bank followed suit. Highly sought after with the first title, this second titled note is just slightly more available. A large note with this nomenclature was last auctioned by us in 2005. One tiny closed tear is found in the top margin. Signed by Fred S. Ricker, Cashier and Christopher H. Wells, President. New to the census and the first $5 1902 Date Back.
