There are only two $20 California Gold Bank Notes known on Petaluma and this note is UNIQUE because it was printed on white paper rather than gold paper. The other $20 is the finest $20 I have seen on any Gold Bank and it realized $230,000 six years ago. The only way to have a complete set of Gold Bank Notes is to have both paper types for any bank that issued them. Although not as desirable or likely as valuable as the $20 on gold paper the note offered here is UNIQUE and very desirable as such. There were 2,866 sheets of Gold Bank Notes printed for Petaluma so there were 2,866 $20 notes printed. This note is well used and professionally restored and has excellent pen signatures.
