Fr. 725 $1 1918 Atlanta
Grade: PCGS XF 40 PPQ
Slightly less grade than the previous note, but ultra-fresh and with a unique pedigree. This three fold XF comes from the Wellborn Estate. Maximillian B. Wellborn was named Chairman of the Board of the Atlanta Federal Reserve Bank in 1914 when the system was organized, and was selected Governor in 1919. This piece was obviously saved as a memento, perhaps by Mr. Wellborn himself. Clearly a CU note that was folded into quarters and put away.
