Sterling denomination series. Rare high denomination note. We so often see the lower denominations from this issue but the 1 Pound note is a legitimate rarity. Even with some minor edge splits this is about the nicest of the few that we have seen over the past few decades. Very attractive considering its rarity and well worth the Newman valuations of $2,500 in VF and $5,000 in XF. Ex: Ford Collection, May 2005 at $2,300.
