Most of the $5 1862/1863 issues have #1 notes known, but in all cases they grade somewhere between VG 10 and deplorable. This high-grade note is the single exception. It is also the only verifiable serial #1 Fr. 62 that is known. This note was first offered by Stack's in 1956, and a generation later by Kagin's. The PCGS holder mentions corner restorations and repaired edge splits, but they have been skillfully repaired and are not easily spotted. This is also a scarce variety with only 56 examples reported.
