This is quite possibly the finest note known on this Olmsted County bank. Signed together by Burgan and C.E. Knowlton in 1931 and they stayed to the end. The Mayo Clinic is located not far from this bank. Dr. William W. Mayo arrived as the examining surgeon for draftees in the Civil War. The Mayo Clinic was born after a killer tornado in 1883 demonstrated the need for better health facilities.
