Although there are 19 large notes reported on this first 100 charter bank, it's one of only four First Charters known with this charter number. Way back in 1999 this note was acquired by Don Kelly at a very reasonable cost of $1,980. I expect to see an entirely new price structure with the current interest in the first 100 chartered banks. This note is problem free and has exceptional pen signatures of H.W. Allen and Jno. Meredith. This charter was changed to #2727 in 1882 and then was retaken in 1909.
