Here is a jewel from this LaSalle County bank with 21 large notes recorded. This note is one of just two $5 Brown Backs and it's the only #1 notes seen from this charter. The note is just lovely with amazing pen signatures and gorgeous paper quality and centering. Unlike many states, I think a #1 $5 Brown Back from Illinois is tougher because of the pattern in which the banks were chartered.
