Demand notes are few and far between, and lovely, fresh, unmolested, likely circ ones are just plain rare. While there are 131 serial numbers recoded only 10 are equal to this note and 4 of those 10 are better. The three most often seen $5 Demand notes only have 24 out of 368 that are equal or better than this example, and just 9 notes better or higher grade. This note is a jewel. In 2012 a Fr. 3 in XF 40 realized $25,300 and a '53' brought $49,000 in 2013. These issues are rare and this is a problem free beauty.
