National Bank Notes > Wisconsin
Fox Lake, First NB, 426
Fr. 394 $5 Original

This is one of the great Wisconsin locations. The bank was chartered in 1864 and issued First Charters and a few $5 Brownbacks before it was liquidated in 1890. Five notes are known, but more important, only two $1 notes have been offered in the last several decades. This $5 is actually fairly nice, and would have graded Fine but for a couple of worn folds. W.E. Smith was the President, but I can't tell who the cashier was.
