We begin a varied selection of notes from this large issuer, with a previously unreported serial #1 note. There is a good chance that the rest of the first sheet was not saved, as it is clear that this top note was not cut by a collector who understood the importance of decent margins. I surmise the cutting may have taken place decades ago by a bank official. The note exhibits a light bend across the top and a corner fold that just misses the design. Nonetheless, an important #1 note.
