New Mexico notes just don't get any rarer than this Artesia Territorial. It is the only surviving note from the State National Bank that was chartered in 1909 and liquidated in 1914, after issuing 1,715 sheets of Territorial and statehood notes. Statistics like those are why these notes are so rare. There were 1,700 sheets of Territorials and 15 sheets of statehood! This note was pen-signed by John Enfield, cashier, and he must have stamped the President's signature as well. The bottom right is slightly cut into the design, but it's difficult to worry much about such a minor flaw.
