Well used, but exceedingly rare. This is one of two notes recorded on this bank, but its mate is the only note that has been offered over the last 18 years. Soil, tears and edge splits commensurate with the grade are noted but the note is generally whole. The bank was in business only from 1864 through January 1870, and had $368 outstanding in 1910, so it would be pure luck for a third note to show up. With a slightly better grade selling for over $12,000 some four years ago, this estimate may well look conservative in the final analysis.
