This is an absolutely breathtaking $5 Brownback. The layout is unlike anything I've seen on other $5 Brownback. Certainly the massive Power Collection had nothing like it. This was the only type the bank issued and just $890 was left outstanding when the bank liquidated in 1898. Today, only four examples are known. Two rather low-grade pieces sold years ago and a #1 has not been seen recently enough to even learn its grade. Edwin Willis signed as President and though I can't make out the cashier, both are fine pen signatures.
