Collectors could not wish for a better specimen to represent this institution. Absolutely insane signatures of John McNaughton, President and C.S. Dickinson, Cashier are among the most striking I have seen. The deep red overprint against the white paper only adds to the appeal. A deft flattening of the folds has nearly hidden them completely, such that the vignette on the back is virtually unaffected. Just twelve 1875 Series $10s are known on the state, so this is hardly a type note, but there are 34 large size notes known on this bank. Expect some serious interest in this piece.
