Grade: PCGS Apparent VF 20 Net     PCGS
This note represents one of the most enjoyable aspects of the business - finding a note no one has even known to exist. Until we heard about this note, months ago, there were no Territorials known on this bank. The bank is available in Blue Seals from the statehood period, but never a Territorial. In fact, there are $5 Brownbacks, just no Territorial notes, and this note is dated May 12, 1890. Brownback Territorials from Utah are extremely rare with only eight known, and half of those are lower grade notes. Three are from Ogden, four from Desert National Bank and the other is Park City. This may well be the best chance to get a Brownback Utah Territorial for some time to come. There were 2,160 sheets printed. This note has excellent pen signatures of P. Frank Knox, President and J.H. Earls, Cashier. It's graded Apparent VF 20 because of a minor split.
