This prohibitively rare First Charter only bank in Winnebago County has but three survivors. This Ace is a decent appearing example and even looks more like a Fine on the front. The signature of the President, Robert Shiells, is really large. Henry Hewitt, Jr., signed as Cashier. This bank closed in 1879 and had a mere $677 outstanding in 1910.
