Being the largest bank in Jefferson County, the Merchants National Bank was relied upon to supply most of the circulation, and that they did with over 15,000 sheets of small size. In spite of some 60 small size notes in the census, uncirculated examples outside of the #1 sheet, that has been cut, are few, so this gorgeous original AU is about as good as one can do.
