This is the only bank that doesn't have the word 'national' in the title. This note is from a replacement plate, hence the *B near the top. This 1875 Series carries the Allison-New Treasury signatures as well as excellent officers' signatures of Chas. S. Lewis and J.H. Watt. This was one of our nation's earliest banks and as a replacement it's quite rare.
