This absolutely delightful $5 1882 Dateback is one of seven notes known on this bank. Organized in 1901, it issued very few notes of any type throughout its life and went into receivership in 1924. It had a total issue of $86,850 but had an outstanding of just $15,000 in 1918, and that was when the bank was still open! Purple-stamped signatures of G.J. Krueger, President and Henry Schultheis, Cashier complete the package.
