This bank was chartered in 1865 and liquidated in 1884 after issuing only First Charter notes. This $5 is the sole survivor and what a peach it is. The overall appearance is far in excess of its technical grade and its final hammer will reflect that fact. I offered this note 13 years ago and it sold for over $6,000 then.
