India paper of the entire face design mounted on oversized card, with an additional India paper overlay for the left end. The words UNITED and STATES have been pasted down, as have the denominations in the upper corners. At one time, overlays were pasted down on both sides of the central vignette and the left one is included with this lot. The back shows glue remnants from a previous mounting. Tremendously nicer than the stained progressive proof which brought nearly $20,000 last summer.
