Grade: PCGS Ch. New 63
This amazing early $5 exhibits the same sharp colors and bright paper that it did when it was first printed. The original embossing from the seal, serial numbers and other front design features are clearly evident through the PCGS Ch. New 63 holder, and the reason this lovely note did not grade higher is not at all obvious. The margin is a bit tight at the bottom left corner, but I think most bidders will find the front margins to be more than acceptable for an upper-end Choice note, and will bid accordingly. The back centering is nearly perfect.
