A far less exciting example is valued at $10,000 in the Third Edition of the error book, where it is the only one illustrated. This one is so much nicer! Just compare the pictures and decide for yourself. Known as a failed splice error, the adhesive strip, intended to weld together two rolls of paper, should have been cut out at the BEP. Not only did the press operator fail to extract the involved section, but the sheet received normal printings before falling apart after release. A legitimate two piece error, of which few exist. I don t believe we ve ever sold one before. Two piece lot.
