This 1981 $1.00 Richmond district E-E block 32 subject sheet contains one of the scarcer engraving errors and the ONLY engraving error available in uncut sheet form. The back plate number on 31 of the notes is #3273; however, the note in the H1 position bears the plate #7372, well outside the range of plates used for the series. Technically, all of the notes on the sheet are Mules since the back plate numbers in this numerical range are from the previous 1977-A series! Many of these 32 subject sheets have been cut into smaller sheets or single notes to obtain just the error, making these full 32 note error sheets difficult to secure.
