Fr. 653 $20 1902ND
Grade:
CGA AU 58
Here is one you don't see every day. There were two National Banks serving this community of about 800 souls, and both closed in the late 1920s. This bank was organized in 1911 and issued only 1902 Blue Seals until it failed in 1927. Eleven notes are in the census, but only two have ever appeared for sale, both in late 2004. This lovely example is the finest note on the bank and is a piece you will be proud to own. A light center bend and clear embossing, as well as good stamped signatures, allows me to agree completely with the assigned grade. Certainly worthy of a strong bid.
