Although there are currently 13 small notes in the census from this small bank, examples must be in strong hands, since only two of those 13 pieces have ever been seen in a public sale. The most recent appearance was last month, when a note we had previously sold in 2005 reappeared in the Long Beach sale. Prior to that, a $20 was auctioned in 1997. No other notes, large or small, have been offered according to our data. This example, which is new to the census, is crackling fresh and over a full grade nicer than the note that sold last month.
