This tiny community in Dodge County supported only one National Bank. That bank had a total issue of just $96,760 over its entire existence, from 1903 until the Great Depression finally claimed it in 1934. A paltry 237 sheets of small size were issued, which explains why a mere six examples remain today. Only one of those has ever appeared at auction. That was a note we sold in 2003 for $2,530, and which was a grade lower than this peach. Prior to that, the only public offering was on a 1985 fixed price list. Certainly an opportunity to acquire a small size rarity that may not be repeated for years to come.
