Long recognized as the rarest design type for the entire 20th century, this stunning specimen appears near perfect and resembles a $30,000 Gem. In fact, this note appears in the census as Ch. CU 63, which makes sense as the face is perfectly centered, but the back is a bit high. While we certainly understand the temptation to grade this note Ch. CU, we caught just the very tiniest bit of handling when tipped into the light, so we're opting for a slightly lower grade. No doubt the handling could be removed and the piece a legitimate candidate for a Ch. CU 63 holder, but that's not our game. The "bang for the buck" is just enormous.
