Where history and collecting collide! A group of Original Series $5s were stolen from this bank. Prior to being placed into commerce, the thieves artificially circulated the pieces to make them seem well used. Many were defaced with an S stamped in purple or red ink (which prohibited redemption), this example is a pleasing exception.
