Grade: PCGS Superb Gem New 67 PPQ
Destined for a registry set; this Superb Gem represents a study in perfection. The orange-gold overprint is blazing, the embossing exceeds excellent, and the centering perfect on both sides. Only one graded finer, by either service, a 68 PPQ which realized the better part of $20,000 at auction earlier this year. We had the opportunity to compare the two notes side by side and believe both notes merit the same grade. While $10 Golds have never been especially rare, it is fair to say that we don t recall ever selling an equal to this trophy.
