Portraits of John C. Calhoun and Andrew Jackson. Issued 607, currently 115 examples are known. Rarity 4. This $1,000 Montgomery is new to the census. It is a lovely VF with two punch cancels near the top and four more in the signatures. The quality is outstanding and absolutely free of defects, that are so often seen on this early series. Many collectors strive to complete the set of Montgomery notes and this note would absolutely make a set stand out.
