Our consultant informs us that only two examples exist, and the other is on a $50 which hasn t sold in years. The tissue paper obstruction was overprinted with parts of the second and third printings, which is rather uncommon. It is almost eerie to look through the intervening fragment. If other generic obstructed printings are worth $12,000 to $18,500 (as our recent auction sales have proven), then this piece should realize even more. Certainly a candidate to set a new record for this type of mistake. PMG noted, "obstructed printing error."
