Pendleton, First NB, 2630
Fr. 420 $10 1875
Grade:
PCGS VF 25
There are only six First Charter National Bank Notes to represent the entire state of Oregon and they come from two different towns, both $10 and $20. This is the only Pendleton $10 and it's the second finest of the six reported. One of the two Pendleton $20s is Ch. AU. The note has excellent pen signatures of W.F. Matlock, President and the cashier's is clear but I can't quite make it out. This note is lovely and is pedigreed all the way back to the Grinnell sale and then to Richard Dreger some 30 years later. This is a rarity of the highest importance as an early Oregon National Bank Note.
