Great Kansas Note
National Bank Notes > Kansas
Wyandott, First NB, 1840
Fr. 399 $5 Original
Grade:
VF/XF
This is a great Kansas note that bears the original name for Kansas City, Kansas. It's still the county name, though with an "e" on the end. The bank was only in business from 1871 to 1878 and there are four surviving notes. This note has excellent pen signatures along with wonderful color and body for the grade. This early town was on the Missouri River where Interstate 635 bisects it.
