As the story goes, a couple of early coin dealers that dealt with King Farouk acquired this jewel for him but were never able to deliver it to him and eventually it ended up with the collecting public. Who knows if there is any truth to that story but we do know that there are very few serial #1 hundreds and even fewer opportunities to acquire one. This note is fresh and original but does have very slight handling.
