National Bank Notes > Michigan
Detroit, First NB, 97
Fr. 409 $10 Original
Grade:
VG/Fine
This is Michigan's earliest National Bank, chartered in 1863 and liquidated in 1882. This note is a pleasing problem-free VG/Fine with charter #97 on the face, indicating it was issued between 1873 and 1875. It's signed by Parsons as president. The $10 Original Series notes are just plain scarce and although well used it's a nice looking note. From the Louis Van Belkum Collection.
