$10 1995* E Richmond
Grade:
Ch. XF
The first blank back star note offered at auction since the Taylor Family Collection in 2005. Even that fabled collection did not possess a $10 denomination! (Surprisingly the most common denominations for this mistake are the $100, and $50 followed by the $1). A sheet-mate to the note offered here appears on the DVD by Frederick and Doris Bart. The price guide in the book suggests $7,500 in XF and $11,500 in CU for the $5 denomination, and we d expect a similar level for the $10. We ve never sold one before and are not sure when it will happen again.
