Collectors continue to clamor for original runs of large size notes to keep them together, while many dealers chose to break them into individual sales. Whatever your preference, this unusual run consists of mule notes which combine the back plates in use during John Burke s tenure with face plates bearing Frank White s signature. As time goes on, we genuinely expect there to be more attention and premium paid to large size mules, due to pioneering work by Doug Murray. Anyhow, three of us have studied these six notes and cannot account for the variation in grade. Each appears to be Choice CU EPQ to our eyes. So while we re left scratching our heads, we re offering this as it came. PMG has graded two notes as Ch. CU 63 EPQ and four notes as Ch. AU 58 EPQ. Six piece lot.
