Serial #K64687284D printed on top of #K64691957D. Wild does not begin to describe this large size mistake with double printing of the upper right serial and similar evidence above the lower left serial. Research by Frederick J. Bart confirms that the serial numbers were applied at a different stage than the seal and numeral "1". We last sold this spectacular mistake as part of the John Whitney Walter Collection where it brought $11,000, in a much weaker market. With the double print $2s now worth $20,000, this should be about the same.
