It has been countless years since the last public offering of a $5 silver certificate with inverted overprints, including the signatures and series. A visual treat and one of the great rarities in paper money errors. There are far more double denomination notes, which routinely bring $20,000, than examples of these. According to Frederick J. Bart, the total number of $5 blue seal inverts is less than six pieces, on all series combined. An important opportunity for an astute collector.
