A quintessential Colorado location that is on many collectors' "wish lists". This bank was chartered in 1886 and liquidated in 1898 having issued only $5 Brownbacks. The Mayer Collection contained an XF example which brought $25,300. This presentable, but much lower grade, note should be more affordable. It is the only note of the five known examples that is not XF or better, so there should be a large following of bidders who realize that an Aspen note is finally within their reach.
