This is both a rare Ohio note as well as a neat name. The bank liquidated in 1881 after issuing Original and 1875 Series notes. A paltry $564 was outstanding in 1910. There are six notes in the census and five of them passed through various auctions from 1983 through 2000, at which time the conveyor stopped and we've seen nothing since. Lucky for us, this beautiful $5 1875 has returned to the market after 22 years.
