A bright, fresh and very rare $100 1882 Dateback from the state of New Mexico. There are only four state $100s known and this appears to be the best. This note last appeared in the J.L. Irish Collection sale in August 1997. This note has a very rare government signature combination of Napier and McClung of which this may well be the only issuer. The Raynolds stamped signatures are weak at best and the lower right corner is close, but this is a beauty and will enhance the collection of the next owner. From the Bernalillo Collection.
