I would like to say this is the finest known but I had one of the three known notes restored a few years ago and when sold in the ONeal Collection in May 2005 it realized $48,875. This note, with even wear and excellent centering, is as nice and problem-free as any Gold Bank Note I have handled, no apologies necessary. It has bold signatures of A.L. Lincoln and Mortimer Cook. The issue was only 800 sheets, for a total of 2,400 notes. This will be one of the evenings great prizes.
