When all things regarding the quality of a note are taken into account, this gorgeous Original Series, with charter, came out at the top time after time as it was compared to other notes appearing on the market as the last 30 years have flown by.
This note has four folds but it also has beautiful paper quality and is very well centered. The color is phenomenal, as are the signatures of D. Morgan and R.C. Woolworth. While technically this note is VF/XF with an expertly repaired small tear, the colors and quality will blow you away they are so vibrant. This note came from Harley Freeman and Amon Carter.
There are 299 notes known, but less than 10% can hold a candle to this jewel. I guarantee the new owner will be pleased. The marginally better example in the Highland Park Collection realized just under $44,000 with a $50,000 estimate. This note cannot be far behind.
