Plate J. Cr. 158. Vermillion and black printed on an excellent paper. Vignettes include the bust of Secretary of State Robert Mercer Taliaferro Hunter at the left; at the right is the Rev. Dr. Alfred L. Elwyn, an abolitionist from Philadelphia, as a child. His identity was unknown when the portrait was selected. Blank reverse. PMG notes: previously mounted.
