High end 1875 $5s are few and far between and this beauty is a serial #1 on top of its amazing overall quality. This bank was chartered in 1880 and closed in 1910. A number of important notes have been saved or surfaced, including the #2 $5 First Charter and an XF $100 First Charter. Lots of good notes but no other #1 First Charters. These are especially rare on the 1875 Series issues.
