The first sheet of the $1 1928 Red Seals was cut when it was issued, with singles passed out to government dignitaries. I have heard of only one of those notes finding its way into collectors' hands. That was the serial #11 note that I saw, perhaps 20 years ago. I don't know where it is now, but it must be a cherished centerpiece of someone's collection, as I am sure this note will be also. Fortunately this first note from the second sheet is a near faultless Gem.
